Stefano Perego is Amazon’s Vice President of International Operations & Global Operations Services. In his role, he manages Amazon’s customer fulfillment and transportation networks internationally, as well as real estate, reliability processes, supply chain procurement, engineering, and security for the company’s operations globally. With over 13 years of experience at Amazon, Stefano’s journey with the company has been marked by several key milestones. He played a pivotal role in the launch of Amazon Operations in Italy, headed fulfillment for France, Italy, and Spain, led the network’s transition to robotics in the UK, and managed fulfillment and supply chain networks across Amazon’s North American and European business before taking on his current role leading all operations in Europe, the Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. Stefano has an MSc MEng from Politecnico di Milano in Italy and lives in Luxembourg with his wife and two sons.

Manufacturing – A Competitive Advantage for the Company

Sarvi Bajwa is the Senior Vice President of Manufacturing for Danone, North America. Danone is a multi national food products corporation based in Paris, with well known brands in our markets such as Danon, Oikos, Activia, Danimals, Silk, and International Delight.

Prior to Danone, Sarvi was with Coca Cola North America as a Vice President of Supply Chain, responsible for operations in US and Canada for Juice, Dairy, Hydration, and Food Service. During his time with Coca Cola, Sarvi was also a champion of gender diversity initiatives in supply chain, becoming the founder and sponsor of “WE RISE” (Women Elevated Results in Success for Everyone).

Before Coca Cola, Sarvi held various manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics assignments with consumer products companies such as Procter and Gamble, Avon, and Alberto Culver, in Texas, Maryland, and Delaware. Through out his career, he built a reputation of turning around underperforming operations into high performing organizations by building strong teams, developing future leaders, creating a culture of winning, and chalking out strategies that provided competitive advantage to the organization and the enterprise.

Sarvi has Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of Houston, and an MBA in Marketing from Loyola University in Maryland. He has also completed a Supply Chain management and leadership certification from the Georgia Tech.

Sarvi and his wife Sonya reside in Columbia, Maryland. They have two children. Raj, who is a graduate of University of Maryland, and University of Texas, also lives in Maryland and is in the investment field for a large commercial and retail banking services company. Their daughter, Sameena is a graduate of Boston University, and is a software engineer for global event management company.

How Consumer Views on Convenience have Evolved and are Dictating the Future of Fulfillment

Rajnish Kapur serves as senior vice president and chief sourcing and supply chain officer, leading a team of over 9,000 people located throughout the U.S., U.K. and Asia. In this role, he is responsible for delivering the owned brand portfolios of Walgreens, Boots and No7 Beauty Company as well as the retail supply chain and inventory management for Walgreens. Rajnish and his team play a vital role in bringing joy to patients and shoppers all over the world through quality, trustworthy and value-rooted products that are widely accessible.

Before joining WBA, Rajnish served as managing director of Wilko Asia. He also served as vice president and managing director at Walmart, leading the global home and hardline categories. Rajnish has worked with blue chip companies for over 25 years and aside from various leadership roles has led startups, business transformation, mergers and acquisitions.

Rajnish holds an MBA in finance and marketing from the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, India, and has extensive experience in leading large global and diverse teams across the world, most notably in South Africa, India, America, China and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; he thrives on the challenges of the future.

Outside of work, you’ll find Rajnish engrossed in cricket, his favorite sport, and following the progress of his two sons who aspire to play professionally.
