Every day, Lesley Slaton Brown inspires and drives C-suite leaders to embed diversity and inclusion strategies across their organizations and demonstrate impact from the boardroom to the business unit. As an agent of change, she has the unique ability to disarm leaders to have difficult and candid conversations around diversity, inclusion and belonging.
Lesley strongly believes that “time for talk is over, time for action is now.” She has led key efforts to address the digital divide and build sustainable enterprise in Senegal, West Africa and is passionate about social impact and human rights.
Lesley served as the Principal Investigator for the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering (NACME) Computing Project and is the Co-founder of Curated Pathways to Innovation (CPI), a collective impact model focused on broadening participation and access for minorities and women in STEM education and careers.
Lesley was named one of the Most Powerful Women in Corporate Diversity by Black Enterprise, a Woman of the Year in Technology by Silicon Valley’s Chapter of National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. and a Top Influential Woman in Corporate America by Savoy Magazine. Most recently, Lesley was named Diversity and Inclusion Champion of the Year by Girls in Tech. She is a highly sought-after speaker and has spoken on the mainstage of the Consumer Electronics Show and keynoted Silicon Slopes Technology Summit in Utah.
Lesley believes strongly in giving back to the community. She serves on the National Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Business Deans Roundtable and BlackComputeHER Advisory Board and is on the UC Merced Foundation Board of Trustees, where she served as the 2017 Commencement Speaker.
Lesley holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Boise State University with an emphasis in Marketing. She was a NCAA Scholarship recipient where she lettered in Women’s Basketball. Lesley lives in Morgan Hill.
