EVP Chief of Operations
Royal Philips
Executive Vice President Sophie Bechu is Chief of Operations and responsible for driving operational excellence in everything from the way the company receives a customer order, to producing the goods or services, to delivery, invoicing, collecting payments and offering a global, consistent service experience to customers. It is her mission to make sure Philips delivers as promised; thinking from a customer perspective and applying excellence in execution.
Sophie has extensive experience in operations, service delivery, procurement, supply chain, quality, engineering and strategic outsourcing. Prior to Philips she worked at IBM where she was most recently Vice President, Strategic Outsourcing, North America Delivery. In this role she was responsible for the IT services delivery for the company’s clients in North America; this portfolio included Healthcare and Life Sciences businesses in the USA.
Sophie was born in France and holds a degree in Engineering from the Ecole Superieure d’Electricite, Paris. Having lived in France, Hong Kong, India and the USA, she now resides in the Netherlands with her family. Sophie’s interests include world affairs, reading and golf.
