Lanell Ohlinger, vice president and HR business partner for the Kroger Family of Companies, leads the strategic HR direction and support for Kroger’s supermarkets, retail operations and corporate teams. With more than 20 years of experience, Lanell is a people champion focused on attracting, developing, rewarding, and retaining talent.

Lanell began her career with Kroger in 2000 as a store co-manager in the company’s Michigan division, going on to hold many leadership roles in the division both in stores and within the HR team. Since 2014, Lanell has been a leader on the corporate HR team, serving as director of Human Resources, vice president of business unit Human Resources and vice president of Talent Development before being promoted to her current role in 2020.

Lanell holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Adrian College and is the recipient of the Progressive Grocer Top Women in Grocery Senior-level Executive Award in 2021 and Progressive Grocer Top Women in Grocery Rising Star Award in 2014.
