Improving Efficiency through HR Technology

Lanell Ohlinger, vice president and HR business partner for the Kroger Family of Companies, leads the strategic HR direction and support for Kroger’s supermarkets, retail operations and corporate teams. With more than 20 years of experience, Lanell is a people champion focused on attracting, developing, rewarding, and retaining talent.

Lanell began her career with Kroger in 2000 as a store co-manager in the company’s Michigan division, going on to hold many leadership roles in the division both in stores and within the HR team. Since 2014, Lanell has been a leader on the corporate HR team, serving as director of Human Resources, vice president of business unit Human Resources and vice president of Talent Development before being promoted to her current role in 2020.

Howard has the overall strategic responsibility and direction for food safety, quality assurance and product development for the entire Kroger company, this includes approximately 2500 retail stores, 42 Warehouses, and Kroger’s 32 own manufacturing facilities – Dairy, Bakery, Pet Food and Grocery plants. Prior to joining Kroger, he led product integrity and regulatory compliance functions as Vice President at Topco Associates – a private label procurement company in Elk Grove Village, IL.

Gabriel Arreaga joined Kroger in 2020 with deep supply chain leadership experience. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of supply chain for Mondelez International, Inc. There, he led a team of more than 14,000 employees within a network of 41 internal and external factories, 49 fulfillment centers, direct-to-store branches, logistics and product development. He also served as global vice president of operations for Stanley Black and Decker and held numerous leadership roles at Unilever, including vice president of food and beverage operations.
