Jennifer Kirk has more than 27 years of experience as a business leader with strong financial and operations acumen and a proven track record for building strong teams and delivering results.
Jenn is currently Senior Vice President, Global Controller and Chief Accounting Officer for Medtronic, leading global business operations financial support, finance business processes, technical accounting, and Shared Services as well as China strategy. She also currently serves as the CFO for the company’s Medical Surgical Division, $9B in revenue. During her tenure she has also led FP&A, Strategy and Integrated Business Planning.
Jenn has served on the Republic Services (NYSE: RSG) board of directors since 2016, the second largest provider of waste disposal in the country and a leader in environment services. She currently serves as the Audit Committee Chair and is also a member of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. Prior to joining the Governance Committee in 2020, she served for three years on the Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility Committee.
Prior to joining Medtronic, Jenn was Senior Vice President, Integration and Value Capture, for Houston-based Occidental Petroleum, one of the largest independent energy, chemical and midstream and marketing companies in the world. Prior to that role, she also served as Vice President, Controller and Principal Accounting Officer. She joined Occidental in 1999 where she served in many roles including operations, FP&A, and business development. She began her career at Arthur Andersen, LLP.
Jenn received her bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and her MBA from California State University, Bakersfield. She is a certified public accountant and received her Cyber Risk Oversight Program Certification from Carnegie Mellon.
