Traceability and the Food Industry – A Conversation with Vanessa Grondin of OPTEL Group

At North American Food Safety & Quality 2019 last month in Chicago we spoke with Vanessa Grondin, OPTEL Group’s VP, Global Head of Strategy, Food & Beverage Industry. Vanessa talked about how Food companies are building a digital backbone into their supply chains to improve visibility, traceability, and resiliency to meet and exceed the expectations of regulators and consumers.

Vanessa has over 10 years’ experience in the Food industry, where she has held a variety of management positions, mainly in R&D, in QA, as well as in process and equipment engineering design. As VP of OPTEL’s F&B industry, Vanessa’s role is to promote OPTEL’s traceability solutions, which help optimize the efficiency of supply chains, increase food safety, reduce food waste and fraud, as well as increase value for top brands. Vanessa holds a bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering, as well as an Executive MBA, both from Laval University in Quebec City, Canada.
